Why Foot and Ankle Pain Is a Full-Body Issue

Foot and ankle pain often shows up during simple daily activities like walking, standing, running, or exercising. While symptoms may be felt in the foot or ankle, the underlying cause is frequently influenced by movement patterns throughout the entire body—including the knees, hips, and even the spine.

At Manual Physical Therapy & Concierge Services, we evaluate how your entire body contributes to foot and ankle function. Restrictions in mobility, weakness in key stabilizing muscles, previous injuries, and compensation patterns can all place excess stress on the lower leg and foot. By identifying these contributing factors, we can address the true source of dysfunction rather than just the symptoms.

Restoring Stability From the Ground Up

Every treatment plan begins with a comprehensive assessment of your gait, balance, mobility, strength, and movement mechanics. This allows us to identify the limitations and compensations affecting how you load and move through your feet and ankles.

Using our hands-on treatment approach, we work to improve joint mobility, reduce soft tissue restrictions, and restore more efficient movement patterns from the ground up. The goal is to help you walk, run, exercise, and live daily life with greater stability, comfort, and confidence.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know this will actually work for me?
We only accept patients whose problems match what the Body Recalibration Method is designed to treat. If your body has become lopsided from years of compensation, this is exactly what we address. Most patients experience 50–75% improvement by the end of the program.
How long will it take to see results?
Most people notice improvement after every session. The full program is typically about 2½ months, depending on how long you’ve been in pain and how many areas are involved.
How long will the results last?
Results are long-lasting because your body has been recalibrated to function more normally and symmetrically. You’ll receive a short 10–15 minute morning routine to maintain your progress. Monthly maintenance is optional.
How long will each treatment session last?
Each session is 60 minutes, completely hands-on and one-on-one. We work directly on your body the entire time to move you toward your goals.
Do you take insurance?
We wish insurance covered this type of care, but our holistic approach treats the entire body at once and doesn’t fit insurance guidelines. Because of that, insurance does not cover our treatment, and we do not accept insurance.”
